Wedding Photographer in Northern Ireland
There are hundreds of photographers who can take beautiful photographs.
But your wedding day needs more than that.
It needs someone who understands that no two weddings, and no two couples, are ever the same.
Someone who knows when to step in or when to quietly disappear.
Someone who's watching for the moments you don't even realise are happening; the squeeze of your granny's hand during the ceremony, your flower girl deciding she's had enough, your dad taking a deep breath before walking you down the aisle, your best friend trying not to cry during the vows, the way your partner looks at you when they think nobody else is watching.
Those are the moments I love.
“And I don't want to make your wedding day look the way I think it should.
I want it to look exactly like yours.”
What It's Really Like Having Me By Your Side
Being your wedding photographer isn't just about turning up with cameras on the day.
Long before your wedding arrives, I'm helping you build a timeline that gives you time to breathe.
I'm answering the questions you didn't even know you needed to ask.
I'm helping you think through family dynamics, timings and little details that can make a big difference to how your day feels.
And on the day itself?
Well...
I'm probably doing a lot more than taking photographs.
I'm fastening necklaces.
Straightening veils.
Pinning buttonholes.
Carrying bouquets.
Checking dresses.
Keeping an eye on the time.
Making sure you're standing in the best light without you ever needing to think about it.
Sometimes I'm calming nerves.
Sometimes I'm making everyone laugh.
Sometimes I'm simply stepping back and letting the moment unfold.
Whatever the day needs...
That's where you'll find me.
Because my job has never been just to take beautiful photographs.
It's to help you have the best wedding day possible while quietly preserving everything that makes it yours.
Making Time For What Matters Most
One of the biggest compliments I receive isn't about the photographs. It's hearing couples say,"We actually got to enjoy our wedding day." Because while beautiful photographs are incredibly important, I never want them to come at the expense of the day you've spent months, or even years, planning. I don't believe in whisking couples away for hours while their family and friends wonder where they've disappeared to. I believe in finding the balance. Creating beautiful portraits you'll proudly display on your walls, while making sure you still have time to laugh with your guests, enjoy your drinks reception and maybe even steal a few quiet minutes together to let it all sink in. Sometimes that means finding a beautiful corner just a few steps from your venue instead of travelling to a second location.
Sometimes it means gently suggesting a timeline that gives you space to breathe rather than rushing from one thing to the next. And sometimes it simply means saying,
"Go and spend ten minutes together... you've just got married." Because those few minutes often become some of the most treasured memories of the entire day. My job isn't to create the busiest wedding day possible. It's to help you enjoy it.
Why I Only Photograph a Limited Number of Weddings Each Year
One of the questions I'm often asked is why I only take on a limited number of weddings each year. The answer is simple.
Because I never want any couple to feel like they're just another booking in my diary.
From the moment you enquire, I want you to know that you've got someone in your corner.
Someone who'll answer your questions.
Someone who’ll help you build a realistic timeline.
Someone who’ll think through family dynamics.
Someone who’ll offer honest, level headed advice.
Someone who’ll keep in touch throughout your planning.
And someone who’ll arrive on your wedding day knowing exactly what's important to you.
That level of care takes time.
And it's time I'm only able to give because I deliberately choose quality over quantity.
I'd much rather photograph fewer weddings and give every couple the experience they deserve than squeeze in as many bookings as possible.
Because once your wedding day has passed, there are no second chances.
The Moments You Didn't Know I'd Capture
When couples think about their wedding photographs, they often picture the big moments.
Walking down the aisle.
The first kiss.
Confetti.
The first dance.
And of course, those beautiful portraits of the two of you together.
Those moments are incredibly important, and of course I'll be there to capture every one of them.
But they're only part of the story.
I'm just as interested in the moments happening around them.
The white feather that appears out of nowhere. The rainbow that arrives at exactly the right moment. The little signs that mean something only to you.
The proud smile on your mum's face while she's watching you from across the room.
Your grandparents sitting hand in hand during the ceremony.
Your flower girl deciding she'd much rather explore than pose for photographs.
Your best friend wiping away a tear before anyone notices.
Children making friends on the dance floor.
Guests laughing together during the drinks reception.
The hug that lasts just a little longer than expected.
Even the little moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.
The guest who arrives late to the church.
The pageboy who's far more interested in picking his nose than walking down the aisle.
The look you give each other when you think nobody else is watching.
Those are often the photographs that become priceless years later.
Not because they were planned.
But because they happened.
And because they're part of your story.

Your Wedding Is Too Important To Feel Like Just Another Booking
I know choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision.
You'll spend more time with me on your wedding day than almost any other supplier, so it's important that you don't just love my photographs...
You need to feel comfortable with me too & know that our energy matches.
That's why I never expect anyone to book after simply looking through a website.
I'd much rather we have a chat. Tell me about your plans. Tell me what's important to you. Tell me what you're excited about. And tell me what you're worried about. If we're the right fit, wonderful. If we're not, that's absolutely okay too.
Because finding the right photographer matters far more than simply filling another date in my diary.
