Boudoir Photography in Northern Ireland
A relaxed, confidence building boudoir experience where you'll be gently guided every step of the way. No modelling experience needed. No pressure to be anything other than yourself.
Boudoir Introduction
If you're reading this page, there's a good chance you've already thought about booking a boudoir photoshoot.
You've probably imagined what the photographs might look like.
You've also probably found a dozen reasons not to book.
Maybe you're waiting until you've lost a little weight.
Maybe you don't feel confident enough.
Maybe you've convinced yourself you're not photogenic.
Or perhaps you've looked at other boudoir photographs and thought, "Those women are beautiful... but they don't look like me."
The truth is, almost every woman who books a session with me says exactly the same thing before we meet.
"I'm absolutely terrified."
And do you know what?
That's completely normal.
Because boudoir isn't about being fearless. It's about discovering that confidence doesn't have to come first.
My job isn't to turn you into someone you're not.
It's to create a relaxed, supportive experience where you feel safe enough to let your guard down, trust the process and begin to see yourself the way the people who love you already do.
Because every woman deserves to have photographs that remind her not just how she looked, but how strong, beautiful and wonderful enough she already was.
Why Women Choose a Boudoir Experience
This isn't about lingerie or being sexy.
It's about confidence, milestones, healing, celebrating yourself, reclaiming yourself after motherhood, divorce, illness, weight loss... or simply because you've spent too long being the last person on your own priority list.
No two women book a boudoir experience for exactly the same reason.
For some, it's a gift for a partner on their wedding day or a special anniversary.
For others, it's a way of celebrating a milestone birthday, marking the end of a difficult chapter, or recognising just how far they've come after illness, weight loss or a major life change.
Sometimes it's about rediscovering yourself after becoming a mum.
Sometimes it's about embracing your body through menopause.
Sometimes it's simply because you've spent years putting everyone else first and realised it's finally time to do something just for you.
And sometimes...
There doesn't need to be a reason at all.
You don't need to earn the right to celebrate yourself.
You don't need to reach a certain dress size.
You don't need to wait until everything feels perfect.
You simply need to decide that you're worth showing up for.
Why My Approach is Different
Over the years, I've learnt that boudoir photography has very little to do with lingerie.
And almost everything to do with trust.
Every woman who walks through the door brings her own story.
Some are celebrating.
Some are healing.
Some are stepping outside their comfort zone for the very first time.
Others simply want to see themselves with a little more kindness than they have for a long time.
Whatever your reason for booking, I want you to know that this is a completely judgement free space.
There are no expectations for you to look a certain way, be a certain age or fit into a particular dress size.
You don't need confidence before you arrive.
You don't need modelling experience.
And you certainly don't need to apologise for your body.
My role is never to change who you are.
It's to create an environment where you feel safe enough to stop worrying about how you look and simply enjoy the experience.
Because that's when the real magic happens.
The confidence you see in your photographs isn't something I create. It's something that's been there all along. My job is simply to create the space for you to see it too.
Why I Care So Deeply About This
As women, we're often our own toughest critics.
I know that because I'm no different. I'm not a twenty something model telling you to love your body. I'm a plus size woman. I'm post menopausal. I live with lymphoedema and lipoedema. I understand what it's like to feel self conscious, to notice the changes that come with time, to focus on the things we'd change before recognising all the things that make us who we are.
That's why creating a safe, supportive environment means so much to me.
Who you see on social media is exactly the person you'll meet on the day.
No judgement. No pressure. No pretending to be someone I'm not.
Just an honest conversation, plenty of encouragement, probably a few laughs, and a genuine desire to help you leave feeling better about yourself than when you arrived.
Over the years, women have trusted me with some of the most personal stories of their lives. They've shared experiences of motherhood, illness, heartbreak, loss, recovery and new beginnings.
I never take that trust for granted. Because while I hope you leave with beautiful photographs...
The greatest compliment you can ever give me is telling me that you left seeing yourself differently than when arrived.
What to Expect at Your Boudoir Experience
Before Your Experience
Once you've booked your boudoir experience, I'll send you everything you need to know before the day, including what to bring, how to prepare and answers to any questions you might have. If you're unsure about outfits, don't worry. We'll chat everything through together.
When You Arrive
We'll begin with a coffee and a chat before any photographs are taken.
This gives us a chance to get to know each other properly, look through the outfits you've brought and plan your experience together.
I'll also ask you to complete a short questionnaire. It helps me understand what you'd most like to achieve from your boudoir experience, the features you already love, and whether there are any areas you'd prefer me not to draw attention to.
Planning Your Experience
Before we begin photographing, we'll talk through your comfort levels.
Whether you'd prefer to stay fully covered, wear lingerie, include implied nude images or explore artistic nude photography, we'll decide that together before the session starts.
Your boundaries are always respected and you'll never be under any pressure to do anything that doesn't feel right for you.
Before You Leave
Afterwards we'll sit down together for another coffee and chat about how the experience felt.
One of my favourite questions to ask is simply:
"How do you feel now compared to when you first arrived?"
The answer is almost always very different from the nervous woman who first walked through the door.
How Women Describe Their Experience
Every woman who books a boudoir experience is asked one simple question before they leave.
"Describe how you feel in five words."
These were their words.
Not one woman mentioned how she looked.
They talked about how they felt.
And that's exactly why I do what I do.
Words From Women Just Like You
Every review you see here has been shared by women who once stood exactly where you are now, wondering whether they were brave enough to book.
